Editorial Policy

DropshipStack publishes independent Shopify app research, reviews, comparisons, rankings, app stacks, and educational guides for dropshipping merchants.

Our editorial goal is to help merchants make better tool decisions, not to maximize the visibility of the highest-paying vendor.

No pay-for-ranking

Companies cannot pay DropshipStack to:

  • receive a higher editorial ranking;
  • increase an app score;
  • become the winner of a comparison;
  • remove a legitimate disadvantage;
  • receive a guaranteed positive review;
  • exclude a competitor from editorial coverage.

Commercial relationships must not determine editorial conclusions.

How products are selected for coverage

We may select apps based on:

  • merchant demand;
  • search interest;
  • category relevance;
  • product adoption;
  • competitive significance;
  • pricing or feature changes;
  • reader requests;
  • gaps in existing coverage;
  • relevance to dropshipping and inventory-light commerce.

Affiliate availability may be considered when managing the commercial sustainability of the website, but it does not determine the editorial result.

Vendor involvement

App developers and vendors may:

  • provide factual product information;
  • provide temporary product access;
  • answer product questions;
  • submit corrections;
  • explain recent changes;
  • request that outdated information be reviewed.

Vendors do not receive final editorial control.

We are not required to adopt a vendor's preferred wording, positioning, comparison criteria, or conclusion.

Corrections and updates

We aim to correct material factual errors when reliable evidence is available.

Possible updates include:

  • pricing changes;
  • plan-limit changes;
  • new or removed features;
  • integration changes;
  • product rebranding;
  • acquisitions;
  • app removal;
  • significant policy changes;
  • broken links.

Minor formatting or wording changes may be made without a formal correction notice.

For material corrections that change the meaning of a recommendation, we may update the page's reviewed date or include an explanatory note.

Ratings and merchant reviews

Shopify App Store ratings and public merchant reviews may be used as evidence, but they are not treated as definitive proof.

Public reviews may reflect different store sizes, product versions, support interactions, incentives, and expectations.

We aim to combine public feedback with official documentation, product research, and other available evidence.

Conflicts of interest

Material commercial relationships should be disclosed where relevant.

Affiliate commissions, sponsored arrangements, free access, or other benefits do not remove our responsibility to publish honest and supportable conclusions.

AI-assisted research and writing

AI tools may be used to help organize research, compare source material, draft structures, edit language, or identify areas requiring verification.

AI-generated output is not treated as an authoritative source.

Material factual claims should be checked against relevant sources before publication.

Independence from Shopify

DropshipStack is an independent website.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Shopify Inc., unless a specific page explicitly states otherwise.

Shopify and related marks belong to their respective owners.

Contact and corrections

DropshipStack welcomes factual corrections from readers and app developers. A public corrections channel will be published on this page once available; until then, this section explains how a correction request should be prepared.

Correction requests should identify:

  • the relevant page;
  • the statement believed to be incorrect;
  • the proposed correction;
  • a current, verifiable source.

Submitting a correction does not guarantee that an editorial opinion, score, ranking, or recommendation will change.
